Navratri’ celebration is started on 28th March 2017. It been celebrates twice in a year once in Chaitra month, which is also considered as big one, and other is known as Sharadiye navratri.
Navratri is one of the most auspicious festivals of Hindu. It’s a festival of karma and faith. Faith on our deity, and worshiped her with pure heart and Holy Spirit for 9 days.
Hindu deities have its own procedure of worship and a proper ritual is followed by the devotees while fasting or worshipping.
3 things which you should offer to goddess Durga in navratri, for her blessings shower on us:
- Red flowers: red color is representative of prosperity and wealth. It’s a symbolism of married women also. Red color flowers is one of the favorite thing of goddess Durga, while offering red flowers, she becomes very happy with us.
- Flowers: red rose and hibiscus is popular red flower, which can be used in puja.
- Sainted Perfume or Itr: Itr is the second thing which goddess Durga likes more. You should offer itr in navratri to goddess Durga. It brings joy and happiness in our life.
- It’s up to you to choose right itr, it may be sandal, rose, etc.
- Chane-halwa Prasad: If you are fasting for 9 days, then this Prasad should be offer to goddess Durga on eighth or ninth day of navratri , after that it will be share to the small girls.
Chane-halwa Prasad is one of the most favorite prsasad of goddess Durga, she fulfill our lives with good wealth and removes all the sorrows from our lives.
3 things should not be offered to goddess Durga:
- Durva: Durva is a special type of grass, which is meant to be a holy grass. It’s take an important place in every Hindu puja. Durva is offered to Lord Ganesha. He is worshipped as son of the Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati, incarnation of goddess Durga.
- On navratri puja, you offer durva to lord Ganesha, but should not be offered to goddess Durga.
- Basil Leaves: Basil leaves are holy leaves, which offer to lord Vishnu as his Prasad. Basil leaves are considered as wife of lord Vishnu.
- Basil leaves should not be offer to goddess Durga in navratri puja.
- Awla: Awla or Indian gooseberry is a sour and tangy flavored fruit. It should not be offer to goddess durga in navratri.
