Since Apple Inc‘s (NASDAQ:AAPL) 4-inch iPhone SE is out now without any GATE controversies, fanboys are excited to know about the next version, i.e., iPhone 7, Plus or Pro. Rumors have already begun to surface online, and the latest information we received is the alleged diagram of upcoming smartphones.
The new schematics show the measurements as well as ports of Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which creates fresh excitement for the upcoming iOS smartphone. From the new measurements, we can learn that the new iPhone will be 1mm thicker than the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
Experts expect a bigger battery with the thicker phone, but it isn’t confirmed anywhere yet. The height and width of the upcoming handset will be as same as its predecessors, but the interesting fact is a dual camera sensor setup on the rear of the iPhone 7 Plus, while the smaller handset’s diagram shows only a single camera sensor. Apple could use a LG G5-like dual camera setup (wide + narrow) or it could be a Huawei P9-kind of setup (color + monochrome).
Apple Inc will also be expanding its Smart Connector port to iPhones. The larger Apple handset will come with this 3 pin port. The Smart Connector port was first introduced in iPad Pro, where users can connect the Smart Keyboard bought for iPad Pro. Interestingly, the 3.5mm audio port is missing in the latest schematics.
Meanwhile, iPhone lovers should only take these rumors with a pinch of salt until the original device comes out of the factory. Apple’s next iPhone will be arriving not before its September 2016 event. Stay tuned for more updates.
