While most of the retailer celebrating Thanksgiving and Black Friday sale, Banana Republic is in the dead end on this holiday season sale. They couldn’t achieve their expect sale in the third quarter, which resulted to fall 12% in revenue. The retailers providing clothing and accessories like H&M, Nord Storm and Macy’s, now struggling to take back their position.
Business Insider reports, Art Peck, the CEO of parent company (Gap.Inc) is very upset on the sudden revenue downfall.
Akin to other retailers, Gap. Inc decided to put their holiday season sale at Banana Republic, which goes live on the three special days (Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday and Black Friday). Meanwhile, the company also planning to celebrate their holiday season sale on other stores such as Intermix, Gap, Athleta and Old Navy.
The NASDAQ reports, the company began their holiday season sales on Thanksgiving day and continued to Black Friday. As listed on offer page, The shoppers can grab 50% off on sweaters and 40% off on other Gap. Inc fashion stores. Inc decided to brings 50-70% off on any products in Banana Republic store.
On the other end, Banana Republic introduced “Summer 16 collection” for the consumers. A couple of months ago, it came on track with New York Fashion week.
Michael Anderson, senior vice president added his view of Summer 16 collection, “The South is known for colors and prints and its joy of life, and also for dressing up a bit,”
The special event brings a huge collection of dresses with flower printed design. They are ready to line-up with great finishing and texture.
