Pretty far HTC has maintained a decent sale of HTC One series of handsets like One M7, M8 and M9 throughout the last 3 years, the troubled smartphone-maker is preparing to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone. There are more details being leaked online about the device and according to the latest claim by popular leaksters @evleaks and @onleaks, HTC will be calling the next device as HTC 10, dropping the “One M” moniker henceforth.
On February 24, HTC officially began teasing its upcoming phone on Twitter with the hashtag #powerof10. Despite being busy with its most sought-out VR headset HTC Vive, the Taiwanese company is also focusing on gaining back its momentum in the lost smartphone market.
HTC hasn’t caught the fame through its “One M” moniker as Samsung does with its “Galaxy S” series of smartphones. Every year the company used the One M on every flagship it revealed and it never managed to distinguish itself from the previous devices. Anyway, let’s look what more technical info we have for you about the new HTC 10.
On the battle arena fighting with @onleaks, @evleaks has revealed some images termed as official press renders of HTC 10 smartphone. Although the leaked images have no surprising factors, the leak has the press renders of the device from all angles – front, back, side, top and bottom. The main changes in the design are the addition of a home button with a fingerprint scanner and a large double chamfer. On the back side, HTC has managed to carefully place its camera unlike the previous versions, and the rest of the design looks neat but not extraordinary.

Now, almost similar handset’s hands-on images are posted by @onleaks, which shows the front, back and bottom of the device. @Onleaks has also revealed a few more details about HTC 10, like AnTuTu benchmark score of an unknown device, model number screenshot and something about HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio feature of the smartphone.
Now analyzing these leaked images, we can make sure that HTC 10 will be available at least in 2 colors – black and silver. This device will also contain capacitive back and app switcher buttons on each side of the HTC 10’s home button, a USB Type-C port and speakers are placed in the bottom.
@Onleaks says, HTC 10 “prototype” comes with a 5.15-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 12MP camera, 4GB RAM and USB Type-C port (pictured). Fro the leaked images, we can easily make out that HTC has removed its signature BoomSound dual front speakers from the flagship with something else in mind. Its software UI “Sense” also looks like having a radical redesign.
