The rumors state it that Apple Inc. is set to leave behind the base variant of all iPhone models till date; the 16 GB variant in its upcoming iPhone 7 with iOS 10. Although the authenticity of the rumors cannot be commented upon; fear has struck the hearts of all the individuals who are still using the base version 16 GB Apple iPhones.
But apparently there is nothing to fear as it seems. According to the reports, Apple Inc. is all set to provide users with high level storage optimization. It appears to us that this new storage space optimization technique is a hidden feature of the recently announced iOS 10; the next iOS version that is in line to the market. The storage optimization will probably include handling limited memory, moving data to iCloud; as well as managing the installed application on the device.
According to some reports, individuals who have already installed the iOS 10 beta version have stated that an inherent feature of iOS 10 allows the user to free storage space on iPhone. Apple Inc. did not elaborately discuss how big iOS 10 will be and how much impact it will have. This could possibly be the hidden version of the music storage optimization tools that is set to free space for music on iPhones and iPads.
In the past, Apple Inc. has faced quite a few issues with iOS 8. At this point innumerable users reported that they were not able to upgrade to iOS 8. The reason behind was space crunch. This was handled well by Apple Inc. with their most recent iOS version iOS 9.
It will be interesting to see how many new things come up with the upcoming iOS 10. But seriously, if Apple Inc. is going to make the 32 GB variant for their next iPhone 7; they might just loose a few iPhone 7 16 GB buyers.
