Xiaomi Redmi Note 3: Top Reasons Why You Should Not Buy it

27 Feb 2019

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi officially unveiled Redmi Note 3 in the month of March. The device has grabbed attention of everyone, with its mind blowing specifications and its affordable price. The device took the world with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 and 3GB of RAM. Xiaomi claims that Redmi Note 3 is the first device to come out with powerful Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor. The device is powered with Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72, which made the device a powerful beast.

Even though, the device comes with amazing configuration, there are a few points that you should consider before buying the device. Here, I shared top points, which will make you feel inconvenient after buying the device. As always “prevention is better than cure”, you should consider these points before buying the device.

Hybrid Sim Slot: The first and foremost thing to consider is that Hybrid Sim Slot. This slot allows the users to insert two SIM cards at a time or 1 SIM card with 1 MicroSD card at a time. This is one of the major disadvantages in the device. If you’re about to buy 16GB variant, you will get free space of 10GB in the device. In that case, definitely it will force you to use MicroSD cards in it. For those, who need a pure dual SIM slot with MicroSD slot, this device will be a disappointment.

No 4K video recording: Even though, the device comes with a 16 mega-pixel of the camera, the device lack of 4K video recording. If the device support 4K video recording, then it will offer best-in class specification with affordable price.

No Corning Gorilla Glass: The device lacks gorilla glass screen protection, which is present in most of the devices present in the current smartphone market. Yes, this will make you to protect the device from sharp objects such as keys, coins and so on. Since the price of the device is very less, this made the company to avoid certain components in the device, in which Gorilla glass is one.

No Quick Charger in the box: Keeping the price in the mind, Xiaomi has not provided quick charger along with the device. Rather than providing quick charger, the company has only provided normal 2 Amp charger with the device. This forces the users to spend some bucks in buying official Qualcomm certified quick charger.

Operating System: Now, it’s time for the release of Android N. But, the device comes with Android Lollipop, which is considered quite an old one now. The company has installed MiUi 7, a customized operating system based on Android Lollipop.

Apart from this, the device comes with 5.5 inch display with (72% screen to body ratio) 403 PPI. Adreno 510 GPU, makes the device to offer best performance, while playing high graphics games. Overall, the device is a loaded with the perfect configuration with very less flaws, which are nothing compared to its affordable price. Stay tuned with TampaBayReview for more updates.
