In August 2018, company announced its collaboration with Ohio based design firm Nottingham Spirk to develop new uses for its specialty materials. Nottingham Spirk founded in 1972 created more than 100 world-first innovations and has over 1,200 commercialized patents.
On July 2018, China based consumer goods company; Cybex a part of Goodbaby International Holdings Limited, launched Cybex Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 technology, a convertible safety seat that has a smart phone synched with it. The product has a safety technology that gives alert during unsafe conditions in roads. This technology helps in baby monitoring in case the child has unbuckled himself while the vehicle is in motion and gives signal regarding the extreme temperature inside the vehicle, which may harm the child.
In May 2018, Novartis received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Kymriah for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma after two or more lines of systemic therapy including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), high-grade B-cell lymphoma and DLBCL arising from follicular lymphoma.
In August 2018, BASF S.E. launched an advanced grade of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), Elastollan® that is expected to improve the production of decorative shoe parts and shoe shanks in high-performance shoes while maintaining superior mechanical properties such as resistance from UV rays. The Elastollan® grade of thermoplastic polyurethanes is compatible with the automation process, allowing parts to be removed easily from the mold, thereby allowing greater design freedom for decorative shoe parts.

In October 2017, Ford Motor Company launched its all-new “Pedestrian Detection”, designed for pre-collision assistance to the driver. This addition to the existing system utilizes RADAR and cameras to scan the roadway to prevent road accidents by generating alert/ warning to the driver. In case the system finds ignorance towards the warning, it takes full control of breaking system to avoid the collision.

On January, 2018, DJI introduced Mavic Pro’s successor, the Mavic Air. The new model is not only smaller as compared to Mavic Pro but also is faster, lighter and has advanced obstacle-avoidance technology. The product has been priced at US$ 799 in the U.S. and £769 in the U.K. The Air can shoot videos with a frame per second of 30. The peak image capture rate of the new model is 100 Mbps, which is an improvement to the Pro’s 60 Mbps. Moreover, the Air can capture slow-motion videos at 1080p HD resolution.

It has a high life cycle and does not require water curing. In addition, the product also aims to attain maximum strength within seven hours. It uses slag, fly ash, and silica, that basically comes out as various industrial waste from other industries. The company is also focusing on investing around USD 28.64 Mn to establish manufacturing plants for this green cement.
